Chandler High School - Boys Chorus

Coached by the PHX! Quartet

This is the first year that the Chandler HS has created a Boys Barbershop Chorus that is proud to have 35 young men highly motivated and excited to sing this A cappella style of music.

 

Director Lori Lyford has had a young womens choir and "VLQ" called the "Trebble Makers" that have been a great inspiration to leading the way in their school, the AZ Music Educators Conference, and most recently with members in the 2011 Sweet Adeline Champion "Scottsdale Chorus", also directed by Lori Lyford.

 

PHX! has alligned themselves and is actively coaching this new young mens chorus this year and encouraging them in the great barbshop style of singing.  They will be challenged with many musical and artisitic features that make barbershop what it is and the quartet is excited to see them represent at the 2012 Midwinter Youth Contest in January.

"Treble Makers" - Young Womens Chorus

This young womens chorus has been active now for a number of years from Chandler High School.  These ladies have been enjoying singing 4-part harmony and some have become part of the Sweet Adeline chorus in Scottsdale.  Most recently some of these girls have come back with gold medals as they sang with the 2011 World Champion Sweet Adelines from the "Scottsdale Chorus".

 

They Scottsdale Chorus is proud to have worked with thes young women and encouranging their passion for singing such wonderful harmony.
